Blogger Mehman Huseynov summoned to the police
An employee of the Institute of Reporters Freedom and Safety (IRFS), blogger Mehman Huseynov was summoned to the Nasimi district police office. He was called by the senior investigator of the investigation department of the police office, Captain Babak Rustamov. In this case, the reasons for the call were not disclosed.
Huseynov will visit the police office with his attorney Fariz Namazly.
Two years ago, Huseynov was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct against a police officer. In fact, the officer violated his journalistic activities when making a report from a protest rally.
Huseynov was released two days later, but the case has not been closed, because of what he cannot go abroad.
On the eve of the presidential elections Huseynov was also summoned to the prosecutor's office in connection with his spreading a satirical video about the presidential candidates. -06D-
