Border guards found 21 kg of opium in the sea
Baku/10.08.21/Turan: Coast guards of the State Border Service (SBS) revealed a bundle of 21.2 kg of opium in the sea, near the border with Iran.
According to the State Border Service, the package was attached to the navigation sign. When examined, 21,255 kg of opium was found in 20 small packages. An investigation is underway into the fact.
It should be noted that drug couriers have long been availing of coastal waters for drug traffic. In particular, they use motorboats to transport drug shipments along the river.
