Border Guards Seize 7 Kg of Drugs
Baku / 29.06.18 / Turan: A large consignment of drugs was seized as a result of search operations conducted by employees of the State Border Service (SBS).
According to the SBS press service, June 28 around 3:15 a suspicious vehicle was spotted by the security forces on the highway Yardimli - Masalli. The driver and one of the passengers of the car were detained, and the other passenger managed to escape.
During the inspection, 2 kg of opium and 5 kg of hashish were found and seized in the car. A criminal investigation has been launched. The suspects were detained - a resident of the Liman village of the Lankaran district Heydar Akbarov and a resident of the Goytepe village of the Jalilabad region Babek Hasanov. At present, measures are being taken to catch their escaped accomplice. -0-
