Baku/06.12.22/Turan: Azerbaijani border guards detained 10 Sri Lankan citizens on December 4 while trying to illegally cross the border to Russia. Illegal immigrants were detained near the village of Khazra in the Gusar region, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan reported.
In September-November 2022, about 100 people were detained who tried to cross the border using false passports, visas and stamps, and another 160 border violators.
Operational and investigative actions to identify and neutralize channels of illegal migration in the fact are ongoing, the Border Service said in a statement on December 6. -05B06-
