BSU attracts foreigners to prepare to doctoral degree
Baku State University (BSU) is preparing a reform in the training of scientific personnel with the purpose of "integration into the world science development trends and innovation to improve the quality," says a press release from the Baku State University. In particular, one of the two supervisors of doctoral students should be foreign scientists, said the rector of Baku State University Abel Maharramov at a meeting with young scientists and specialists. Department heads were ordered to provide assistance to young professionals in this matter. "If it is necessary doctoral students will be assigned to foreign countries at the expense of the university for exchange of experience and research work ," assured the rector.
BSU will also provide an invitation to Azerbaijan to foreign heads of doctoral students, and their participation in scientific discussions and thesis defense, said Maharramov. The BSU cooperates with the leading scientific and educational institutions, annually participates in international grant programs totaling $ 5.7 million. In this regard, the rector called doctoral students to take advantage of these programs. -03D-
