By kidnapping a 17-year-old Fatima, the authorities again crossed the threshold of morality
Baku / 05.04.18 / Turan: The Azerbaijani authorities once again stepped over the moral threshold in the fight against the political opposition, continuing the persecution of women. Last year, Gezal Bayramli, deputy chairman of the Popular Front Party, was convicted on a false charge.
A former deputy, member of the coordinating center of the National Council Gultekin Hajibayli, reported on an unspoken warning that attack was being prepared against her teenage son. The warning came after the opposition rally on March 31.
The same day, after the rally, a 17-year-old Fatima Movlanly, a youth activist, disappeared. Today is the fifth day, and her relatives do not even know if the girl is alive! Moreover, pro-government media publish false reports defaming the honor of the activist.
"Are you acquainted with such concepts as courage and dignity?" - the chairman of the Popular Front Party Ali Kerimli asks in Facebook.
He suggests that Fatima was kidnapped by the law enforcement agencies after the rally on March 31 for her political activity. Earlier, the girl were detained and brought to the 4th police station of Binagadi district of Baku for putting up opposition posters on the eve of the rally. She, like other activists, was threatened, demanding to stop political actions, not to participate in the action "Know the dictator", but Fatima went to the rally. Previously she wrote on her Facebook page:
"What a dishonorable person should be, ready for 5-10 manats to conscience, suck up, insult those fighting for justice, perjure in the courts and so feed the family ...
And what should be a decent person who, without fear of all threats and hardships, goes out on the square to demand justice? I am proud that tomorrow they will stand shoulder to shoulder at a rally next to those who demand freedom! "
This entry proves the falsity of the rumors about the immoral behavior of Movlana, which was rumored earlier, which was allegedly arrested in a cafe where she indecently behaved.
So Fatima simply disappeared? Repression is brought to the point of absurdity. -0-
