Center of Baku stopped in traffic jams
On March 5 the morning traffic in the center of Baku practically stopped. Many kilometers of traffic jams paralyzed Babek Avenue, Heydar Aliyev Avenue, Tbilisi Avenue, Rashid Behbudov Street, Uzeyir Hajibeyov Street and the area near the metro stations Ganjlik and Narimanov, said the Baku police spokesman Vagif Asadov.
According to him, the cause of the traffic jams are repairs on Heydar Aliyev Avenue near the Shafa stadium and the failure of traffic lights in the Fatali Khoyski and Koroglu Rahimov streets.
Vagif Asadov also said that the situation is exacerbated by irresponsible drivers who move into the oncoming lane. He noted that such drivers will be fined with the help of cameras and punished administratively.
Thus, the multi-million dollar project called ‘Intelligent Transport Management’ in Baku, once again proved its futility. -16B-

However, questions have arisen about the legitimacy of the group, as an internet search yields little evidence of its existence beyond scattered mentions.

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
