CIS Muslims will develop a unified system of education
International conference "CIS Muslims for peace and sustainable development" was held in the "Gulistan" Palace in Baku. The conference was attended by representatives of the CIS countries, the Baltic states, and a number of Arab states.
The conference condemned manifestations of Islamophobia in the world and the identification of various negative phenomena with Islam. "Maybe Muslims are not perfect, but Islam is a perfect religion," said the mufti of North Ossetia-Alania, Hajimurad Gatsalov.
This view is shared by other speakers. At the same time, manifestations of secessionism in Islam were condemned, and negative activities and violence by followers of radical religious movements were noted, such as: Wahhabism, "Hizb ut-Tahrir", "Jamat-Islam."
The participants condemned the involvement of youth into radicalism under pseudo religious slogans youth. A suggestion was made to prevent it. In order to put an end to the division and discord among Muslims, it was proposed to prepare a unified system of religious education for the entire Islamic world.
The conference participants also criticized the adoption of the law on same-sex marriages in France. It was regarded as a negation of religion. The conference resulted in the adoption of the Final Document. –05C06-
