Citizens warned of cyber fraudsters stealing funds through fake online resources
The Center for Combating Computer Incidents of the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security warns citizens about cyber fraudsters acting on behalf of state institutions.
According to the Centre's press release, cybercriminals offer discounts and bonuses given when paying utility bills or fines. The fake websites used for this purpose are hxxps://asanodeme.info/kommunal, hxxps://asan-cerime.net, hxxps://asan-cerime.biz and hxxp://asan-cerime.com.
"These sites had been actively promoted on social media. Given these links, users were redirected to fake payment services where citizens' funds were stolen by intercepting bank card details," it said.
The Center urged citizens to be vigilant, clarify the information they receive and trust only official pages of state structures.

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal.
