Baku / 26.07.18 / Turan: The official structures have not responded to the appeal of the convicted blogger Mehman Huseynov, to allow him to visit the sick mother. According to the blogger's father, Rafik Huseynov, he and lawyers appealed to the administration of the jail, the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice three days ago, in connection with a request to allow Mehman to visit the mother in a coma. However, the answer did not follow.
Mother of the blogger, Frangiz Huseynova, is in the intensive care unit in the Neftchiler Hospital. Last week she had heart problems. She suffered a clinical death. A woman needs a surgery, but under the current situation it is impossible, and doctors are trying to stabilize her health.
The Head of the Department of Prison Service for Public Relations did not give a concrete answer to the question whether Huseynov will be allowed to visit a seriously ill mother. According to him, all appeals will be considered in accordance with the procedure established by law. -0--

The closure of Azerbaijan's land borders was discussed during the parliamentary session on November 25. On Tuesday, the General Prosecutor's Office announced the initiation of new criminal cases against agricultural product exporters who allegedly concealed their earnings abroad. Specifically, the Sumgayit City Prosecutor's Office has opened a criminal case under Articles 208.2.1 and 208.2.2 (failure to return foreign currency to the country in large amounts by prior agreement of a group of individuals) and Article 308.2 (abuse of office causing serious consequences) against officials of the company "SOİL BOONS" LLC – Jahangir Aliyev, Elyar Gadzhiev, Mehman Mirzamedev, Saleh Gabilov, and Aly Aliyev.
