Baku/26.07.18/Turan: The Presidium of the Bar Association punished two more lawyers - Gahraman Pirmammadov and Nurali Hasanov. The activities of the former are suspended for a year; and in relation to the second, an appeal to the court is directed to deprive him of his membership in the Bar Association, reads the information in the Bar Association. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Presidium of the Bar Association on July 25.
In total, the Presidium reviewed the disciplinary cases of 10 lawyers, and reprimanded these two lawyers for violating the norms of legal ethics.
Turan failed to learn the opinion of the punished. The Bar Association does not provide information on the reasons for the punishment of lawyers.
Over the past seven months, several prominent lawyers have been suspended: Yalchin Imanov, Asabali Mustafayev, Nemat Kerimli, Fakhraddin Mehdiyev and others. In addition to Yalchin Imanov, the activities of others are limited to one year. Prior to this, lawyer licenses were revoked: Aslan Ismailov, Khalid Bagirov, Alaif Hasanov, Namizad Safarov and Muzaffar Bakhyshov.
In June, the Bar Association suspended the powers of the lawyer Irada Javadova, and in July Fuad Agayev was reprimanded.
Applications for the punishment of lawyers were filed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice and the Prosecutor General's Office. Lawyers attribute this trend to the fact that these individuals defended political prisoners. -0-

Such waves of refugees could lead to humanitarian, social, and cultural clashes that may threaten political stability."

On Tuesday, the General Prosecutor's Office announced the initiation of new criminal cases against agricultural product exporters who allegedly concealed their earnings abroad. Specifically, the Sumgayit City Prosecutor's Office has opened a criminal case under Articles 208.2.1 and 208.2.2 (failure to return foreign currency to the country in large amounts by prior agreement of a group of individuals) and Article 308.2 (abuse of office causing serious consequences) against officials of the company "SOİL BOONS" LLC – Jahangir Aliyev, Elyar Gadzhiev, Mehman Mirzamedev, Saleh Gabilov, and Aly Aliyev.
