Baku / 16.03.18 / Turan: The Baku Court of Appeal considered on March 15 the lawsuit of the news website infoaz.org on the decision of the Administrative Economic Court No. 1 regarding the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies. This was announced by the head of the website Namik Jafarli.

According to him, at the meeting of the court, which was chaired by the judge of the Baku Appeals Court Ulvi Mayilov, the complaint of infoaz.org was not satisfied. Judge Ulvi Mayilov believes the evidence is not enough to satisfy the complaint. The head of the website does not think so and intends to file a complaint with the European Court.

"To tell the truth, we did not expect that the Baku Court of Appeal will make a fair decision. Everyone knows how the Azerbaijani courts work, and there is no reason to hope for a miracle here. Therefore, we intend to complain to the European Court. Until now, we have contacted all the countless relevant bodies of the country in connection with the blocking of the website infoaz.org. However, we could not get a full answer in connection with this issue," Namik Jafarli said.

Unhappy with the decision is also Zibaida Sadigova, who defends Namik Jafarli"s interests. The lawyer noted that blocking websites in Azerbaijan is not the first event of the sort.

"Websites were also blocked before. And this was done by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies. That's why we will file a complaint with the European Court." -0-
