Dangerous Chinese Virus Not Detected in Azerbaijan
Baku / 21.01.22 / Turan: Azerbaijan has not yet registered cases of infection with a new crown virus detected in China. Turan was informed about this by the head of the epidemiology department of the Republican Sanitary and Quarantine Center Yadulla Balyshov.
According to him, at all border checkpoints in Azerbaijan, including airports and seaports, doctors carry out the necessary checks.
“When identifying people with a high fever and signs of the disease, they should immediately inform the Sanitary and Quarantine Center. However, no such information has been received yet,” said Balyshov.
In turn, the deputy director of the Republican Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology Afag Aliyeva confirmed that no cases of this virus were recorded.
The virus can be transmitted by airborne droplets or by eating seafood. The virus causes pneumonia. Complications can lead to death.
According to Aliyeva, the risk of contracting a new disease in Azerbaijan is not great.
Note that in China there are already about two dozen dead from the new virus. There is no cure for this disease yet. -03B-
