Director of School 162 is placed under house arrest
Baku / 16.04.19 / Turan: A preventive measure - house arrest was applied to the principal of the Baku school No. 162, Sevinj Abbasova, the Baku city prosecutor"s office reported. The decision was made today by the Sabail District Court of the capital. This measure was taken in the framework of the criminal case of suicide of Elina Hajiyeva, the 8-grade student of the same school.
The investigation established that Sevinj Abbasova did not properly fulfill her official duties, showed inattention to Elina Hajiyeva, did not provide her the necessary moral and psychological assistance.
In addition, the school principal is accused of being carelessly involved in the death of the schoolgirl and the inopportune call of the ambulance to the victim.
Abbasova was charged under the Articles 143 (leaving in a dangerous position) and 314.2 of the Criminal Code (death of a victim as a result of negligence or negligence).
Investigative activities in this case are continuing.
