Disciplinary Proceedings against Elchin Sadigov to Be Terminated

Baku / 12.07.19 / Turan: Disciplinary proceedings against lawyer Elchin Sadigov are close to termination.

On July 11, lawyer Sadigov met with the chairman of the Bar Association Anar Bagirov and members of the presidium of the Bar Association.

He himself said this.

According to Sadigov, the problem of bringing him to disciplinary responsibility has been exhausted.

The lawyer was told that the disciplinary proceedings would be discontinued.

The head of the Bar, Anar Bagirov, also confirmed the settlement of the problem.

"We met with Elchin Sadigov and resolved the issue in a civilized manner. He deleted the post on Facebook (which served as the basis for the commencement of disciplinary proceedings). With this in mind, we will take a counter step. At the meeting of the presidium of the Bar on July 17, we will again consider the issue," Bagirov told Turan.

Recall that the reason for the proceedings against Sadigov was his post about a member of the Disciplinary Commission of the Bar Association Sardar Gasimov who died last month. Sadigov asserted that Gasimov was preparing the conclusions of the commission commissioned by the leadership.
