Azerbaijani-French economic relations, the reasons for the non-admission of products from Azerbaijan to Russia, the high cost of the markets, and the likelihood of a fall in the manat rate are the topics of today's media.
The Azerbaijan newspaper writes about the Azerbaijani-French economic relations. In this regard, the author mentions the meeting of President Ilham Aliyev on 10 July with representatives of MEDEF, of which 170,000 French companies are members. Chairman of the Business Council of this organization, Geoffrey Ruz de Bezou, noted that Azerbaijan was chosen for cooperation as a reliable partner. Bezou also met with the First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva.
The website Yeni Sabah.az writes about the return of Azerbaijani products by Russia. The expert Vahid Maharramli does not consider this a manifestation of some political goals. He believes that this is due to the discovery of pathogenic bacteria and pests in products from Azerbaijan. This is not the first time, the expert believes, when the goods are returned back, almost every month. But the Ministry of Agriculture does not respond to these facts and does not control pests. The goods returned from Russia will be "for expensive" sold at Baku bazaars. That is, Russia protects its consumers, but we do not. The expert believes that the goods returned by Russia should be destroyed.
The website Bizimyol.info writes about the high prices prevailing in the country, which will flourish even more with the increase in wages and pensions from September 1. The author gives specific examples, while for some reason they write a "discount" on the windows, probably, this is a method of attracting customers. According to the State Statistics Committee, in June there was an increase in prices for rice (long), beef, chicken, boiled sausage, sausages, fresh fish, butter, milk, fruit, cabbages, tomatoes, greens, cucumbers, eggplants, and sweet pepper.
The website Marja.az talks about the fate of the manat with expert Vugar Bayramov. In Georgia, for example, over the past year, the lari has fallen in price by 17%. This fact has a psychological effect on the manat. In August and December, the demand for dollars will increase. As for August, this is due to school supplies, and in December, the number of tourist trips abroad. -0-
