Baku / 16.01.20 / Turan: The Bar has stopped the disciplinary proceedings against lawyer Elchin Sadigov, which began on the basis of an appeal from First Deputy Prosecutor General Rustam Usubov. This was reported to Turan by Sadigov himself,
The Bar also granted his appeal on the continuation of advocacy in an individual form (without participation in the composition of law firms). Moreover, Sadigov was awarded a medal dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani legal profession. He thanked the leadership of the Bar for these decisions.
Recall that the First Deputy Prosecutor General sought to punish Sadigov for expressing his personal opinion on Facebook regarding the video recording of a car that hit the human rights activist Ogtay Gyulalyev. Sadigov suggested that the hitting was intentional. –06D-
