Dispute of seller of watermelons with police could end in tragedy
Baku/27.07.22/Turan: On July 26, a video appeared on the Tik-Tok social network showing a watermelon seller arguing with the police on the Baku-Sumgayit road and threatening to commit suicide. As it became known, it was a resident of the Saatly region, Yashar Jahangirov, who claimed that the police did not allow him to trade.
The Association for Management of Territorial Medical Units told Turan that Jahangirov was placed in the intensive care unit with serious burns.
At the request of the Turan agency, the Traffic Police Department of the Interior Ministry reported the following:
"On July 26, at the 25th km. Baku-Guba road a driver of Gazelle car without state license plates was trading in the immediate vicinity of the roadway. Thus, he created an immediate threat to himself and other road users.
In this regard, a protocol was drawn up against a resident of Saatly in accord with Article 354.0.8 of the Code of Administrative Offences. In response, Yashar Jahangirov lit his shirt and threw it on the ground.
The vehicle was taken away from the road, traffic safety was ensured".
The Traffic Police Department once again urges road users to comply with the rules and not to pose a threat to themselves and others." -02D-
