Baku/09.03.22/Turan: As a result of search operations held by police officers of Tovuz region police department, drug couriers who used to accept online orders and provide illicit drug delivery from abroad were detained. This was reported to Turan by the press service of the Interior Ministry.
During the operation, Baku resident Asker Hasanov and his acquaintance Asif Gaziyev were detained in Alimardanly village.
During search of Gaziev's car Toyota the police found drugs including 172 grams of heroin, 490 grams of methamphetamine and 1 kg 715 grams of dried marijuana in cellophane bags.
The detainees testified that by agreement with a foreign citizen they intended to deliver the drugs to Baku for 1000 manats.
An investigation is underway at the Tovuz region police department. -05B06-
