Drug Courier Killed at Iranian-Azerbaijani Border
Baku / 17.09.20 / Turan: On September 17, another incident with the participation of drug couriers occurred on the Iranian-Azerbaijani border. According to the press service of the Azerbaijani Border Service, border guards noticed two border violators from Iran near the village of Shahsevan, Beylagan region.
On the order to stop, the violators opened fire and tried to go back. One of the intruders was killed by return fire, and the other was able to escape.
During the inspection of the scene, a rifle and two bags with 15 kg of various drugs were found.
At the same time, another drug courier was detained, who arrived at the place to receive drugs. This is a citizen of Azerbaijan, born in 1975, Adish Mammadov.
The incident was reported to the Iranian side, and military prosecutors are conducting an investigation on the spot. -02D-
