Drug Couriers Dumped Cargo at Border
Baku / 27.12.19 / Turan: On December 20 and 23, Azerbaijani border guards stopped two attempts to illegally cross the border from Iran, the State Border Service said.
The incidents took place in the Bilasuvar district. In both cases, the violators retreated back, throwing their load.
In the first case, more than 13 kg of various drugs were found in an abandoned bag. During the investigation, 4 residents of the village of Zahmetabad were detained as suspected of involvement in this smuggling.
The second time a similar case took place in the Lankaran region, where drug couriers tried to smuggle more than 24 kg of various drugs. -02D-
