Drugs and psychotropic substances confiscated from passenger arriving from Istanbul
Baku/28.01.21/Turan: On January 27, more than 320 grams of cocaine, 87 grams of a drug called “Bonzai” and 1542 methamphetamine tablets were found and seized in the luggage of Azerbaijani citizen Ilaha Babayeva, who arrived in Baku by flight from Istanbul.
According to the press service of the Customs Committee, during the investigation, customs officers identified the remaining members of the criminal group and two more women - Lala Mamedova and Narmina Karimova; more than 500 methamphetamine tablets, more than 7 grams of cocaine, 70 pregabalin tablets, electronic scales and other things were found in their apartments. By the decision of the Yasamal District Court, these persons were arrested. -02D-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
