Baku/16.01.22/Turan: "Turan" continues the publication of reports about the process in the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, where businessman Afgan Zeynalov accuses the head of the human resources department of his company Nelly Fabrichnaya of stealing 720.000 manats, allegedly belonging to him. The amount is in dollars and has been converted into manat.

On 16 January, the court heard testimony from witness Yana Shiraliyeva, who was on friendly terms with Nelli Fabrichnaya. Shiraliyeva works as a personnel officer at "Akkord Holding" and has no direct relationship to Zeynalov's company. She knows about the events at "Murov" through Fabrichnaya's stories.

The witness was questioned by Zeynalov's lawyer Ilhama Hasanova. There were a lot of questions, and they repeated the circumstances known at the investigation stage, and the judge interrupted the lawyer by not satisfying her petition. At the end of the session, I.Hasanova accused the judge Faik Ganiyev of violating the law, and he demanded her not to bicker.

From the words of Yana Shiraliyeva it became known that Nelli shared with her what was going on in "Murov"s company, spoke about the theft of a large sum of money from the chief's safe installed in the house of Fabrichnaya's father. Shiraliyeva never understood why Zeynalov had installed the safe in someone else's house. From conversations she learned that the suspicion fell on the cleaner Mehriban Atakishiyeva.  It was about the loss of 200.000," the witness said, "and Yana did not know whether it was in manats or dollars.

Note that Shiraliyeva had borrowed 4.000 manats from Fabrichnaya and the money had been returned. Fabrichnaya told her about her illness and her boss's illness, and told her what medicines were used to treat them. She knew that Nelli had bought an air conditioner and household equipment worth 30.000 manats for Mehriban. She would never have believed that Fabrichnaya was capable of stealing money.

The witness was aware of the personal relationship between Nelly and Rauf Zulfugarov. She had been a participant of discussions about the missing money in the company and had testified about this conversation and other circumstances at the Baku police headquarters.

As the judge noted, in principle Shiraliyeva's words did not diverge from her testimony during the investigation.  The judge decided that there was no point in continuing the interrogation of the witness and refused to read all of her testimony in full during the investigation.

The day ended with lawyer I. Hasanova statement that several Azerbaijani banks had sent notifications to Fabrichnaya's phone that her accounts could be closed, as Nelly was under arrest and the accounts were not being used. The lawyer petitioned to send requests to these banks from the court asking them to clarify the amount of money held in accounts.  She believes that through these accounts Fabrichnaya could have withdrawn the stolen money from the country. However, judge Ganiyev found her wish time-consuming to fulfil.  He postponed the discussion of Hasanova's request to the next sessions, inviting the parties to think it over.

To this, the lawyer demanded justification for the denial of the motion as adding: "This is not a trial, it is absurd. I bring to your notice that the judge is violating the law". Chief Justice Ganiyev did not react to her statement.
