Education Development Fund is being established
Baku/14.07.21/Turan: Today, the President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the creation within a month the Education Development Fund (EDF) under the Ministry of Education with the status of a legal entity of public law.
The Fund will finance programs and projects aimed at developing the education system, support the material and technical base of state educational institutions.
The financial sources of EDF are extra-budgetary funds of educational enterprises controlled by the Ministry of Education (with the exception of vocational schools), as well as deductions from income for paid education services provided. The Ministry of Education was instructed to determine within two months the amount of contributions to the Fund from extra-budgetary funds, as well as income from the provision of paid educational services in order to ensure transparent, efficient and centralized management of income and expenses of subordinate educational institutions.
Time will show whether the creation of EDF will put an end to the uncontrolled collection of funds in preschool enterprises and schools at the level of their directors under the pretext of repairing and purchasing household goods. -08D-
