Baku / 05.06.18 / Turan: The lawyer Elchin Sadigov was informed that his client Emin Aslan, detained the day before, was kept in the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Turan was told by the human rights activist Anar Mammadli. However, the lawyer was not allowed to meet with his client. The Interior Ministry still does not comment on the detention of Aslan, who got his master's degree of law faculty of Syracuse University in USA. On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
