Eruption of Mud Volcano Otman Bozdag
Baku / 24.09.18 / Turan: On Sunday morning, an eruption of the mud volcano Otman Bozdag occurred in the Garadagh district of Baku. The height of the jets of mud and burning gas was 200-300 meters. In the morning, the eruption occurred twice, the Ministry of Ecology reported.
Numerous and deep cracks appeared on the territory adjacent to the volcano. In the area where the volcano is located, there are no settlements. The Otman Bozdag volcano last erupted in February 2017.
The volcano is located between the settlements of Sangachal and Gobustan. It is the second largest mud volcano in the world. -06D-
