Ethnic Azerbaijani killed in battles to defend Ukraine
Baku/18.07.22/Turan: During the war in Ukraine, a soldier of Azerbaijani origin, Kerim Gulamov, was killed, Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Vladislav Kanevsky wrote on its Facebook page.
The ambassador stressed that a citizen of Ukraine, an ethnic Azerbaijani Gulamov worked as a host of the M2 TV channel.
"From the first day of Russia's large-scale aggression, Kerim rose to defend the Motherland and fought for it until his last breath," the ambassador said.
According to sources in the Azerbaijani diaspora, about 20 ethnic Azerbaijanis have died in the battles for the independence of Ukraine. --16D06--
