Feminists rally in front of the Iranian embassy
Baku/27.09.22/Turan: On Tuesday, a group of Azerbaijani feminists held a protest rally in front of the Iranian embassy in Baku.
They protested against the suppression of women's rights in Iran, which led to riots and the killing of women.
The participants tried to burn a symbolic turban in front of the embassy windows, but the police guarding the building tore the black turban out of the hands of the feminists.
The participants said that the turban symbolizes the Iranian regime, which suppresses freedoms.
The slogans were written on the t-shirts of feminists: “Get your hands off women!”, “Down with the vice police!”.
There were no detainees. --02B--
