Former opposition activist detained upon returning from Germany
Baku/30.07.21/Turan: A former member of the opposition "Public Chamber" and Yegana Amiraslanova, who has been living in Germany for a long time, was detained by law enforcement agencies on July 29 upon returning to Baku, reported her relatives, noting that Amiraslanova was already a citizen of Germany.
It is unknown where Amiraslanova is kept. It was not possible to get comments from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the General Prosecutor's Office about the reasons for Amiraslanova's detention.
One of the lawyers involved in the case, on condition of anonymity, told Turan that there are no criminal charges against her and she is to be released soon. —06D-
