Frontier Service Detains Ramin Hajili
Baku / 06.06.18 / Turan: On June 4, two Azerbaijani citizens, Ramin Hajili and Fakhraddin Gasymov, were detained at the Azerbaijani-Georgian border by a border guard.
According to the press service of the border agency, Hajili and his fellow traveler tried to cross into Georgia, violating the state border. This was done for the reason that Hajili is imposed a ban on leaving the country due to an unpaid debt of 250 thousand manat.
A criminal case was opened on the fact, it was said in the message.
It should be noted that Ramin Hajili was a public activist. Earlier, he was a member of the Dalga movement, headed the Movement Europe-Azerbaijan, and was in the leadership of the parties of Democratic Reforms and Umid.
In 2017, the Nasimi district court of Baku conditionally sentenced him to two years of imprisonment for falsifying documents. The reason for this was the provision of forged documents to persons wishing to obtain a visa at the US Embassy. -03D-
