Authorities Investigate Consequences of Earthquake (UPDATED)
Baku / 06.06.18 / Turan: Local authorities are busy investigating the extent of damage caused by the strong earthquake that occurred on the evening of June 5.
As the deputy head of the executive power of the Zagatala district Tofig Ahmedov told Turan, cracks appeared on many buildings and some walls collapsed. However, not a single building is completely destroyed. The Commission on Emergency Situations began to study and calculate the damage caused.

Strong earthquake in the north-west of Azerbaijan
Baku / 05.06.18 / Turan: Strong earthquake occurred in the evening of June 5 in the north-west of Azerbaijan. Underground shocks were recorded on the territory of Zagatala region in 400 km north-west of Baku at 22.40 local time. The epicenter of magnitude was 5.5. Underground shocks were recorded at a depth of 12 km, the Republican Center for Seismology at the National Academy of Sciences reported.
According to the same source, in the epicenter is 24 km. south of the city of Zagatala, the force of the tremors was 6 points.
