Baku/30.01.23/Turan: Funeral ceremony for Orhan Askerov, head of the Security Service of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran, was held on 30 January.
Note that the funeral ceremony was attended by hundreds of people. The officer was buried at the Second Shehid Alley with military honours.
Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the head of the Yasamal district executive power attended the ceremony.
Recall that Askerov was killed in a terrorist attack on January 27, when an Iranian man armed with an automatic gun came back to the Embassy and started shooting indiscriminately. As a result, one man died and two guards were wounded. However, one of the guards, Vasif Taghiyev, managed to disarm the terrorist. -02D-
