Gathering Together Forbidden in Nardaran
Mass gatherings are actually banned in Nardaran. The settlement’s elder Natig Kerimov regarded the police bans on locals to visit Nardaran Sanctuary, which is the main one in Absheron, this way.
"On December 11-12, people celebrate the day of Imam Reza’s death. However, people are not allowed to gather at the memorial event," he said.
"It is not clear on what basis it is done, whether a state of emergency, or war, or something else? It is necessary to explain to people what is happening at last," he said, noting that these restrictions were imposed after the operation on November 26 when police arrested two dozen activists of the movement Muslim Unity and five civilians and two policemen were killed in the clashes. -05B-
