Gold coins on the occasion of the 600th anniversary of Uzun Hassan
Baku/03.11.23/Turan: Closed Joint Stock Company (CJSC) "AzerGold" minted a gold coin on the occasion of the 600th anniversary of the birth of Uzun Hasan, the ruler of the medieval Azerbaijani state of Aggoyunlu, which occupies a special place in the medieval history of Azerbaijan. According to the company, the coins were presented at the exhibition "Uzun Hassan - ruler of the Aggoyunlu state", organized at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
Gold coins weighing 20 grams (999.9 samples), on which the name of the ruler of Aggoyunlu and the number 600 are written in Arabic script and Latin script. The new gold coin is presented to customers at the AzerGold CJSC Sales and Exchange Center at 3 Bulbul Avenue in Baku. The Aggoyunlu state reached power in the second half of the XV century under the rule of Uzun Hasan, when it included the territories of modern Iran, eastern Turkey and the South Caucasus.
His grandson Shahinshah of Azerbaijan and Shah of Iran Ismail Khatai I founded the powerful Safavid state (1501-1722).
