Harlem Desire Calls for Lifting Ban on Mehman Huseynov's Foreign Trips
Baku / 10.04.19 / Turan: OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Harlem Desire condemned the ban on foreign travel imposed in Azerbaijan against the blogger and chairman of the Institute for Reporters' Freedom and Safety Mehman Huseynov.
He called on the Azerbaijani authorities to lift these restrictions.
Desire said on his Twitter page that Huseynov was invited by his office to a conference on the safety of journalists in Vienna.
Recall that Huseynov was not released on April 9 from the country when he was about to depart for Berlin to participate in a number of international events in the German capital, Strasbourg and Vienna.
Mehman Huseynov was released on March 2 after serving a two-year prison sentence under the suit of the head of the Nasimi district police.
He was recognized as a prisoner of conscience by Amnesty International. -16D06--

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
