Head of construction company arrested
Baku/16.07.18/Turan: Ali Shukurov, chief of the construction firm "Fidan" was arrested by the employees of the prosecutor's office. He is accused of illegal construction. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, on July 12, 2018, representatives of the State Committee for Urban Development found the ongoing illegal construction in the Javadhan 68A in the Nasimi district of Baku. The inspection was carried out following a complaint by local residents who claimed that the construction of a 16-storey building began before another residential building. The audit revealed that the submitted documents do not meet the requirements of the law and the materials were sent to the Prosecutor General's Office. The prosecutor's inspection found that Ali Shukurov, in violation of the law and without the right of ownership, started digging a foundation pit on July 1, 2018 for the construction of a 16-storey building. Shukurov was prosecuted for criminal conspiracy, he was arrested by a court decision, the prosecutor's office said. -02D-

Information about the explosion on 8th Transverse Street was reported to TƏBIB (the Association for the Management of Territorial Medical Units) on October 7 at around 1:50 PM. Four ambulance teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured included three adult men and two women, all of whom were hospitalized in facilities managed by TƏBIB. Local sources confirmed on Sunday that the restoration of the historic Kazanchi Church, located on a hilltop in the culturally significant city of Shusha, has been completed.
