Head of Realliq.info Website: "Judgment to Be Appealed"
Baku / 12.04.18 / Turan: The Masalli District Court has ruled that the website Realliq.info is fined for 5,000 manat. The edition reported.
Remind that, Realliq.info published a material criticizing the activities of Az-Granata LLC, and the other side sued the edition for the critical article, saying that it spoiled the company's business image and was a moral offense.
According to the report, the website was sued by Az-Granata LLC allegedly owned by Mikayil Ismayilov, Vice President of SOCAR.
The company filed a lawsuit claiming that the editorial office should pay 200,000 manat of compensation and apologize to the company, and the lawyer Firdovsi Aliyev partially fulfilled the company's claim.
The fact that the referee did not satisfy any motion by the editor is considered to be a result of pressure from Mikayil Ismayilov.
"At the hearing, Az-Granata representatives said they had financial losses, but they could not prove it. But the court fined us. Nevertheless the fine of the website is not final, and the decision will be appealed. Our articles on the illegal activity of Az-Granata LLC will continue," the head of the website I. Rahimov told Turan.
According to Rahimov, the editorial will use all legitimate means to punish the company's management, who do not respect laws, threaten the life of people and commit arbitrariness. -05D / B-
