Heat, breaking records, retreats
After a long period of hot weather in Baku and on the Absheron peninsula, on August 21, the temperature is expected to decrease by 4-5 degrees. It is reported by the Bureau of Hydrometeorology Forecasts of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
In the next two or three days in Baku and on the Absheron peninsula the temperature will be +32 to +35 deg., which is close to normal.
At the same time, the effect will be amplified by relative coolness with a north wind of 15-20 meters per second, and in some places - up to 25 meters.
In the regions of the country the air temperature is also expected to decrease.
Note that the steady heat in recent days has broken records for more than 100-year history of meteorological observations. So, on August 19 in Ganja the temperature hit 42 degrees.
In Balaken-Sheki the mercury thermometer marks also reached 40-42 degrees, which is also a record for the region. -06D--
