Heavy Fire Destroyed Part of Sheki Market
Early in the morning of October 12 in the central market of the city of Sheki (320 km north-west of Baku) there was a large fire that engulfed a large area.
According to MOE, local businesses were severely damaged, including 1,200 square meters, 90 containers and 20 counters.
To extinguish the fire, firefighters were involved from Sheki and the neighboring regions Gakh and Yevlakh. The fire was extinguished at about 11:00.
No injuries have been reported, while the cause of the fire is unknown. --- 02D-
