Sunny weather with high air temperatures will remain in the territory of Azerbaijan for several days, according to weather forecasters of the Ministry of Environment, although they had previously claimed that the heat would keep until August 23.
In the coming 24 hours in Baku and on the Absheron peninsula the northern wind will change to the southeastern one, which will increase the heat effect. The temperature will be up to +37 degrees Celsius.
On the beaches of Absheron the sea water temperature will reach +29 degrees on the southern coast.
In areas of the country the air temperarure will be up to + 39 during the day. In mountainous areas it will be up to +29. -03D-

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has not been invited to observe the parliamentary elections scheduled in Azerbaijan for September 1. Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Aykhan Hacizade, stated that invitations have been sent to seven international organizations: the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, GUAM, the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organization, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the Organization of Turkic States.

A new group of migrants from the Garadagh district of Baku has arrived in the city of Shusha, the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons reported. Seventy-nine Shusha residents, comprising 21 families, have returned to their hometown.

Bahram Nuriyev, chairman of the Gabala branch of the public association "Young Gazis" (Young volunteers) and a participant in the Second Karabakh War, attempted suicide on Sunday, according to a statement from the association. Nuriyev reportedly shot himself with a firearm, protesting against what he claimed was untimely and inadequate medical treatment, which led to severe psychological distress.
