In Istanbul, The Azerbaijanis with 33 kilo gold detained in Istanbul
The Turkish police in Istanbul detained two Azerbaijanis with 39 gold bars weighing 33 kilo 576 grams, reported the Turkish website haber24 referring to the law enforcement authorities of Turkey. The gold was brought from Azerbaijan to Turkey through smuggling
Ingots, according to police, were hidden away in the trunk of the car with the Azerbaijani state numbers. In the car were two men at the age of 30 and 32, and the car was arrested in front of one of the state institutions in Istanbul. Both detainees said they were engaged in jewelry business. They reported that in Istanbul gold is expensive, for this reason, they brought it to sell. With respect to both the court sanctioned the arrest as a preventive measure. The names of the detainees are not informed. Police did not give an explanation of how 33 kilo of gold were transported across the state border. -03D04-
