In connection with the migration of birds , the State Veterinary Service (SVS) of the Ministry of Agriculture started monitoring avian influenza on April 7.
According to the press service, the monitoring will cover temporary dwelling of migratory birds in national parks and nature reserves : in the coastal zone on the Apsheron Peninsula and in Shabran , Salyan, Lankaran and Aghjabadi.
In addition, blood samples will be taken from birds in the poultry and households. The results will be announced on April 18.
SVS warns that due to the migration of migratory birds the bird homes and industrial farms are to be converted into closed spaces, the birds should be vaccinated and their health standards will be strictly observed .
The hunting of migratory birds, their sale and use in food is prohibited.
At the same time, SVS notes that currently the epizootic situation of avian influenza in Azerbaijan is stable.
Note that for several years the Ministry of Environment and the Health Service of the Ministry of Agriculture warned about the threat of avian flu. However, an intensive search for all these years says that it does not exist in Azerbaijan, as in all the neighboring countries.
At the same time, in all markets and along the roads thousands of poachers safely sell hunted waterfowl. Also, all restaurants serve cooked game. -03D06-
