Independent lawyers set up a League to work with the European Court of Justice
Baku/15.06.21/Turan: Experts in sending individual complaints to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), lawyers Khalid Bagirov and Samad Rahimli have set up a League to Work with the European Court of Justice (LWEC), Khalid Bagirov told Turan.
Their goal is to optimize the work on sending individual strategic complaints to the ECHR. Besides, the LWEC is seeking to raise legal issues facing low-income segments of the population to the international level.
As a matter of fact, the structure is going to deal with social entrepreneurship through accepting complaints and sending them to the ECHR.
Note that League emploees ill provide legal advices to the applicant. If any prospects of applying to the ECHR are identified, steps will be taken to prepare the case for consideration by the Strasbourg Court.
Besides, the League intends to submit materials on implementation of ECHR decisions to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. Presentations of this kind will be thematic and periodic.
In order to achieve these goals, the LWEC intends to cooperate with individual lawyers and inform the public about its current activities.

The League will operate as an informal organization without status of legal entity.—06D-
