Infrastructure of e-services developed by half
Public Association «Transparency Azerbaijan» presented today the results of the monitoring infrastructure of e-services and e-government. Before December 1, 2014, 42 Azerbaijani government agencies were to provide 449 electronic services. The report «Transparency Azerbaijan» presented results of monitoring of 30 e-services that are important for civil society and business.
Fourteen of these electronic services (47%) exist online, six (20%) is partly designed and 10 (33%) have not yet been developed at all. The last 10 services related to the social sphere. Services for the business sector developed better, said at the presentation of the coordinator «Transparency Azerbaijan» Mohamed Muradov.
The advisory report says that in Azerbaijan there is a strategic, conceptual plan for the development of e-services has not yet been developed.
"Financial provision of electronic services is uncertain, barriers remain in the development of information systems," reads the statement.
It is important to ensure that online issues such as obtaining passports, identity cards, driver's license, license plate numbers, civil status and so forth.
"The use of electronic customs declarations, public procurement can help improve the business environment in the country," said Muradov.
The lawyer Alasgar Mammedli identified another area which is essential for improving services. It is the very culture of service and attitude of officials to citizens. Currently, this area is poor, he said. -03C-
