Interior Ministry investigates complaints of female passengers against taxi drivers
Baku/04.12.21/Turan: Recently taxi drivers in Baku have been increasingly making indecent proposals to female passengers. Video footage of such unflattering behaviour on the part of taxi drivers circulated in social networks. One of them had to apologize for his unethical actions in front of a video camera.
After the images were published, the 102 Call Centre, police agencies, and official MIA social media accounts received numerous inquiries and complaints from women, the Interior Ministry press office said.
Investigations are underway into each complaint and the public will be informed of the results, the MIA said.-06D-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
