Internally Displaced Persons Attempted to March
Baku / 13.07.20 / Turan: At night, July 13, hundreds of internally displaced persons from the occupied territories living in the refugee town in the Gobu village of the Garadagh district held a rally demanding to be sent to Karabakh. They tried to make a march to Baku, chanting: "Karabakh", "Martyrs are immortal, their homeland is indivisible."
The reason for the action was the attack of the Armenian army on Azerbaijani positions in the Tovuz direction. Police units urged the people to disperse. The head of the administration of the Garadagh district Suleyman Mikailov, who arrived at the venue, made the same appeal. However, the protesters were adamant. After that, the police made detentions.
The organizer of the action, Tahir Zangilan, was released from the police this morning. Turan did not manage to get comments from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. –21C-
