It is proposed to create Alimony Fund and appoint paternity leave
Baku/12.11.21/Turan: It is proposed to create the Alimony Fund in Azerbaijan. The initiative was put forward by the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, Hijran Huseynova at the joint meeting of specialized committees of the Milli Majlis.
In her view, the Alimony Fund will not be a burden on the budget and is very important for social protection of children.
Huseynova also proposed to introduce paid paternity leave in the country.
To her thinkinking, in some cases, women face difficulties in childbirth, and it would be good if a man could spend time with her 1-2 days a week to help with resolving psychological problems in the family.
Also, the deputy suggested introducing psychologists into the courts whose aid could assist in reducing the number of divorces. -16D-
