Journalist Avaz Zeynalli fined AZN 200
Baku/20.12.17 / Turan: The editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Khural" Avaz Zeynalli was released from custody today after the Binagadi district court ordered to recover from him a fine of 200 manats. The journalist is prosecuted under the Article 535.1 (not subordination to legal requirements of police officers) of the Administrative Offenses Code. In a conversation with a correspondent of Turan Zeynalli said that the accusation against him is far-fetched. He noted that the court's decision will be appealed in the appellate instance.
Zeynalli was detained when on air he told about the unreasonable blocking of traffic on Binagadi highway. Police officers demanded that he stop the report. However, after Zeynally continued his professional work, he was detained and taken to the 4th branch of the Binagadi district police department. -03D06-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
