Lankaran Unrest Results in Arrests
Azerbaijani Interior Ministry issued a statement in connection with the riots on August 25 in Lankaran during the match between "Khazar-Lankaran" and "Neftchi" (Baku.)
According to the report, after the match, a group of fans began to violate public order, throwing miscellaneous things onto the field and rival fans, breaking seats in the stands and gates, starting fires and bullying on the field and in the outside area.
Seven troublemakers were arrested and taken to the regional police department. Four of them were drunk, and six police officers were injured.
A lawsuit was filed under the Article 221 (hooliganism.) -16D-

The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has approved amendments to the regulation on the allocation of funds collected from traffic fines, initially established in 1999.
