“The news from Alexander is bad. Now he is kept in the sanitary part of the detention center, but his condition is bad,” she writes, recalling that he suffers from tachycardia and neurology.
“There are severe pains in the leg and lower back. He cannot walk and sit normally. But there are cramps at night, and he needs normal treatment. Doctors of the detention center give him nothing but diclofenac,” said the spouse.
A citizen of Russia, Ukraine and Israel, Alexander Lapshin, is prosecuted for illegally visiting the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and appeals against territorial integrity.
At the end of 2016 he was detained in Belarus and extradited to Azerbaijan on February 7, 2017. He faces several years in prison. Lawyers say that the investigation into his case is nearing completion. -0-
